Stop Press: Andrew and Jules from Paddy’s Whiskers are relocating to the Isle of Skye in Spring 2019. We will be in the South West for some gigs at the end of May and in August – and have a few more free dates then…so if you are interested, please get in touch.
Paddy’s Whiskers are a three or four piece band playing traditional footstompin’ Irish, Celtic, English and American music in a contemporary and upbeat party style. Recently featured on BBC1, we are proud to provide great barn dances and ceilidhs at events, weddings and parties across Devon, Somerset, Cornwall and the South West. We work with the best callers from the area and our light hearted attitude combined with our infectiously dancy and driving music ensures that everybody has a great time.
We have just produced a new brochure promoting our barn dances and ceilidhs. Click here to view a copy online, or email us and we’ll post you the real thing.
Paddy’s Whiskers play fiddle, banjo, mandola, mandolin, guitar, cajon, border bagpipes, whistles, harmonica and bass guitar. Everybody in the band sings, and at ceilidhs or barn dances we often combine fast jigs and reels for dancing with well known traditional songs and tunes to give guests time to catch their breath
Andrew, from the band is also a DJ, so we can provide a disco or DJ set for after the dance if you want the party to continue later into the night.

Paddy’s Whiskers – Devon Ceilidh Barn Dance Band
Paddy’s Whiskers specialise in making great parties for our clients…giving everybody a night to remember. We bring excellent lighting for the band and dance floor – no need to dance in brightly neon lit halls! – and a high quality sound system to make sure everything sounds good. We can provide radio microphones for speeches and appropriate background music when guests are arriving or during any breaks.
A professional gigging band, the Whiskers regularly play full concerts at festivals, pubs and other events across the region. We are not “just” a ceilidh band – we love to entertain in our own modern folk style….
Paddy’s Whiskers also play acoustic music to accompany wedding ceremonies, and can provide “campfire sessions”, party entertainment and un-amplified ceilidhs or barn dances.
Visit the band’s main website www.paddyswhiskers.co.uk for more information on the best barn dance and ceilidh band in the south west, to hear more of our music and to see a list of upcoming gigs.
Andrew and Jules from Paddy’s Whiskers also play as “Re-Jig” for smaller barn dances and ceilidhs across Devon, Somerset, Cornwall and the South West. This high powered duo – together with an excellent caller – provide all the excitement of live Celtic and Irish music for dancing.
